Partnership Development: Support Raising 101

What is Partnership Development: Support Raising 101?

Partnership Development: Support Raising 101 is an intensive workshop designed for missionaries. With nearly 30 hours live instruction and costing just over 5,000¥ per day plus the option of one-on-one personal coaching— this workshop provides a whole new outlook on the process of getting (and keeping) yourself and/or your ministry funded. Basically, it's ground zero for rebuilding everything you thought you knew about support raising.

Who should attend?

Missionaries in Japan who:
  • are trying to decide whether or not to keep working or raise support
  • are wrestling with making ends meet because financial needs have increased since first starting their missionary journey
  • are watching their funds dry up or decrease because supporters are disappearing
  • are stalled out in the process of building their support base
  • are wondering how to build a better ministry support team in general
  • are working towards a new project or initiative that requires a budget far beyond the level of faith they currently have
  • want to learn the difference between "fundraising" as an activity and "partnership development" as an act of ministry
  • want to raise support but have no real idea where or how to begin

Who's the trainer?

Jung Kim, Founder and CEO of Forerunner International Ministries

A vivid dream in 2002 led Jung to give his life to the Lord and in 2010, he transitioned out of the corporate job and into a full-time ministry. After helping launch a house of prayer in Torrance, CA, he served as a Prayer Room Director and Lay-Pastor at a local church. In 2015, Jung pioneered the launch of Forerunner International Ministries (FIM)— its vision is to “cultivate transformational worship and prayer in every believer" and "empower laborers to engage in the Great Commission.”

With a BS in Business Management from California State University of Long Beach and a MA (graduating December 2016) from Liberty University in Christian Ministry with a Leadership Cognate he’s well equipped for the ministry the Lord’s called him into. Training directly under the supervision of International House of Prayer's (Kansas City) Director of Partnership Development and going through CRU's (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ International) Ministry Partnership Development training course fostered Jung’s passion for and heart to see Kingdom laborers fully funded and empowered to walk out their Kingdom potential to the fullest. Jung now invests much of himself into coaching individuals and ministries on growing their own “ministries of partnership development.”
